DESCRIPTION:09:00 – 10:00 \nVideo call meeting of Delphine Rudelli and Isabel Sobrino Maté with European Commissioner Schmit’s special advisor on social dialogue\, Andrea Nahles. \nAbout Mrs Nahles: \nBorn 20 June 1970\, the German politician served as Leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD – S&D affiliated) from April 2018 until June 2019 and the leader of the SPD in the Bundestag (German national parliament) from September 2017 until June 2019. She served as a Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs from 2013 to 2017. During that period she met and worked together with her Luxembourgish counterpart Socialist Labour and Social Affairs Minister Nicolas Schmit. \nSince August 2020\, Nahles serves as President of the Federal Posts and Telecommunications Agency. One month earlier Nicolas Schmit\, now Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights\, announced her appointed as his Special Advisor. Her role is to help strengthen the social dialogue in Europe\, as well as the role of the social partners.
