On 9 and 10 April 2025, the 3rd partnership meeting of the EU-funded project, TRIREME, was held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This two-day meeting was the occasion for the partners to exchange information regarding the state of play of the different work packages and the work achieved so far.
Ceemet and industriAll Europe are leading work package 6, which deals with the Social Transformation of the automotive mobility ecosystem in the frame of the twin transition. In this context, the MET social partners updated the project partners on the work carried out, including the desk research report and the ongoing compilation of good practices regarding up-skilling and re-skilling initiatives. They also mentioned that the next regional workshop will be organised in Italy on 15 October 2025.
Moreover, in the framework of the partnership meeting, the MET social partners organised with work package 5 (regional roll-out) a joint workshop on the Social and Regional implications of the transformation in the automotive industry. This was the opportunity for the social partners to gather feedback from partners regarding potential recommendations at the national and EU levels on how to best address the continuous training in the automotive-mobility ecosystem.
The input gathered during the workshop is of great added value, and it will serve industriAll Europe and Ceemet to develop practical recommendations. It was very successful, as the different participants discussed the possible initiatives to upskill and reskill in the automotive sector at regional, national, and European levels in order to achieve a successful transition for both companies and workers.
