The Ceemet Chief Economists Group (CEG) come together to evaluate the economic situation in Europe and share insights from the national level. It collects structural data on eight key areas for industry, namely: Employment; Production; Exports; Productivity; Research & Development; Investment; Hours worked and Labour cost. It also releases relevant papers on issues of interest to the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based (MET) industries.
Mission & Objectives
The CEG provides a forum to exchange information and discuss major national and European economic developments. It provides data driven analysis of the realities of the MET industries which feeds directly into Ceemet positions. The CEG endeavours to deliver facts based policy development. It creates added value, distinct from already existing data, by looking into common challenges and opportunities for the MET industries in Europe.
