As an active stakeholder of the Healthy Workplaces campaign 2020-2022, Ceemet attended the closing summit, where European experts and decision-makers discussed the results of the EU-OSHA Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign. They also explored future strategies for effectively preventing workplace musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
It was the opportunity for EU-OSHA to present the forthcoming Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2023-25, which will begin in October 2023 under the slogan “Safe and healthy work in the digital age”. It will put the focus on the effective prevention of occupational safety and health risk factors in the digital world of work.
Ceemet looks forward to engaging with EU-OSHA on its upcoming campaign.
Delphine Rudelli, Ceemet Director General said: “In our industries, we have seen the automation of tasks which previously required physical labour or were performed in arduous conditions. The automation of these tasks has improved OSH and boosted productivity at production sites. While MET employers are aware that digitalisation within industry plays a role in creating particular OSH challenges, the same holds true for the multitude of solutions it provides. Employers feel that the overall benefit of this evolution of industry far outweighs any possible known harm.”
